Ultra Tight Pub Tiny Whoop Track - BTW at Hobs
This week's track was ultra tight and compact, to avoid some stubborn drunks, but it meant loads of laps per battery to really get the flow dialed in.
The quick switch from left to right, coupled with with rise and fall over the central divider really challenged me. So to get a few consistent laps required slowing down a bit and just feeling the flow of the track.
It was really great to get some decent chase DVR with Generic FPV too. He's rapid and flies "properly" in full acro, whereas I stick to self level mode because i just want to have fun.

I said I needed to focus on consistency and so I did, getting 4 clean laps in. I was very happy to get these and while the laps look a bit slow, they are clean and smooth which made them fast! I've also challenged myself to get these laps within 20 batteries. At the 2024 Blades Over Buckminster, I took time out from Le Whoop 24hr to see if my little 65mm Tiny Whoop racing drone could make it around the 5 inch track outside. 2 new people joined our little whoop group this week which was exciting! Both up and ripping around our very flowy track. This week was a lot more open and wide track. It was a challenge to set a course in such a tight space but the light rods really came into their own. I had no idea you could upload a full 360 video and allow the end user to watch the area they want to watch.
Yeah i can upload the full 360 video like this so you can choose where to look, or i can post process the video and choose the framing from anywhere in the sphere, it's really flexible. It's a proof of concept at this stage because the video is a little on the low quality side
Thats awesome! Such a cool idea if you could implement this live for bird alongside the livestream. Not on the same stream but a separate link that people can just view the 360 cam at any time !
Yeah that would be awesome, I'd love to know if it's possible. I think this camera is a bit of a potato because it's really only meant to be used in well lit houses for photos, but it's came out good enough to show potential.
